This episode profiles cinematographer Anne Misawa, whose credits include Margarita with a Straw and Treeless Mountain, for which she earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Cinematography.
Creative Goals
- Shoot with a visual sensibility that honors Misawa’s own eye as a cinematographer
- Let the interview breathe, giving space for her voice and experience to lead the story
- Pace the edit to highlight both her personal journey and her body of work
Outcome
Helped bring Misawa’s story to a series spotlighting women shaping Hawaii’s film industry, contributing both behind-the-camera work and post-production to shape the final episode.
